Generate numbers with the =randbetween function
Need to generate some test data to fill-in some rows and columns and not enough time to think up some random numbers? Use the randbetween function. For example, create a range of random numbers between 3 and 17;
- Enter =randbetween(3,17) in a cell.
- Press the Enter key to accept it and see the results of a number between 3 and 17.
The syntax for the randbetween function is =randbetween(bottom,top) meaning the low number = bottom and the high number = top.
Hope this helps. See you at the next lesson.
