Need to make a table in Excel that includes the days of the week, or the months in a year? Let Excel handle that for you.
Pick a cell to start.
Type the word Monday. Before you press the Enter key, look at the lower-right corner of the cell to see a small dark square. Point the mouse over that dark square, hold the mouse button down and move the mouse to the right. Notice the weekday names that appear as you move the mouse across cells in the spreadsheet. This is the AutoFill feature of Excel at work.
Do the same thing with a name of a month. See how Excel will AutoFill the months that follow. See what happens when you type 1:00 am or 7:00 pm
