Set Print Area and Print Selection

There are times you want to print a block of data from an Excel worksheet, or print a select range of pages within a worksheet.

The Set Print Area command is available

Use the Set Print Area sub-command of the Print Area command in the File menu. But if you forget to use the Clear Print Area command, and decide to print the whole worksheet,  you still get the previously selected print area. What to do?

The Selection button in the Print dialog box

Select the range of cells, click the Print command in the Menu Bar, but before you click the OK button, go to the Print what section of the Print dialog box and check the Selection button in the lower left corner of the dialog box. Now you can continue with any other range of printing without having to remember to clear an earlier defined print area.
